Spring Street Salt Shed

The first fully enclosed salt shed was commissioned by the City of New York and is located at the corner of Canal St. and West Street This award winning design architectural concrete structure holds 5,000TNS of salt. . Oliveira Contracting, Inc. self-performed all excavation, structural concrete work, architectural concrete work, site improvements consisting of granite and steel faced curbs, sidewalks, glass paver walkways, precast concrete plank roofing, and general conditions while coordinating the numerous miscellaneous trades such as; electrical, plumbing, roofing, waterproofing, overhead rolling doors, cantilevered gates, landscaping, and painting.
